The Girl’s 12th Regional Softball Tournament will get underway tomorrow — Saturday, May 28th — in Danville at Boyle County High School, and our area will be sending three teams to participate in the event.
Game one will begin at 11 a.m., as the host team — Boyle County (23-9) on the year and champion of the 45th Distrrict — will square off against Wayne County (12-13) on the season.
Game two will feature the Somerset Lady Jumpers (22-15) taking on West Jessamine (12-9) at 1 p.m.
In the first game of the lower bracket — game three of the day at 3 p.m. — the winners of the 48th District — the Southwestern Lady Warriors at (22-5) on the year — will face off against Garrard County (16-15).
The final game of the of the first round will feature the champion of the 47th District — the Pulaski County Lady Maroons (21-9) — will square off against the Lady Jaguars of East Jessamine at (11-11) at 5 p.m.
The semi finals of the tourney is set for Sunday afternoon, beginning with the first game at 3 p.m., with the second game to follow.
The championship game of the Girl’s 12th Regional Softball Tournament is slated to begin at 7 p.m. on Memorial Day.
