12th Regional Tournament Pairings are set

The Girl’s and Boy’s 12th Regional brackets are now set, with the girl’s regional tourney tipping off on Monday night, February 28th at Lincoln County High School.

In the first game, the Southwestern Lady Warriors — champions of the 48th District — will tangle with West Jessamine at 6:30 p.m., while in Monday’s nightcap, the Somerset Lady Jumpers — champions of the 47th District — will square off against the Lady Warriors from Danville Christian Academy.

On Tuesday night, the first round will conclude, when Danville will meet up against Wayne County at 6:30 p.m., with the Pulaski County — Mercer County game to follow.

The semi finals of the tournament will take place on Friday evening, March 4th at 6:30 p.m., with the championship game slated for Saturday night, March 5th at 7 p.m.



Meanwhile, the Boy’s 12th Regional Tournament will get underway from Pulaski County High School on Wednesday, March 2nd, with a pair of games in the opening round.

In Wednesday night’s first game at 6:30 p.m., the McCreary Central Raiders will face off against Mercer County, with the second game to follow featuring Rockcastle County against Lincoln County.

On Thursday night at 6:30 p.m., the 29-2 Pulaski County Maroons — owners of the top record inside the 12th Region this season — will begin their quest for a regional crown by taking on the Wayne County Cardinals, with the nightcap featuring the West Jessamine Colts taking on Boyle County.

The semi finals of the tournament will be held on Monday night, March 7th beginning at 6:30 p.m., with the regional title game set for Tuesday evening, March 8th at 7 p.m.
