The Southwestern Warriors faced off against a very talented and athletic Western Hills Ohio squad on Tuesday night in the second round of the Lake Cumberland Holiday Hoops Classic, and despite a valiant comeback bid from being down 20 points to the Mustangs in the second half, Jeron Dunbar’s club fell just short of victory.
Eli Meece paced the Warriors with 22 points and Andrew Jones tallied 14 points, but it would not be enough, as Southwestern fell to 3-10 on the season with a 60-56 setback.
In other scores from yesterday in the boy’s bracket involving local teams, Pulaski County improved to 14-0 on the season with an 83-61 win over Mt. Healthy Ohio, while Somerset fell to Wolfe County by a 61-54 margin.
