Cougars win second consecutive regional title


The Somerset Christian School Cougars went back to back over the weekend, winning their second regional title in a row.

Kirk Stickley’s club got a game-high 38 points from Jon Moore, helping the Cougars roll to an 83-72 over Trinity, to claim regional title number two in a row.

Mason Cunnagin added 14 points in the win for the Cougars, and Tristan Moore tallied 13 points, helping Somerset Christian improve to 23-2 on the season.

The Cougars will open play this Friday afternoon at West Jessamine High School at 4:30 p.m. Somerset Christian School will face the winner of the Assumption/Cornerstone game in the first round of the tournament.
