One night after a 34-point loss at arch-rival Southwestern, coach Chris Adkins and the Pulaski County Lady Maroons rebounded from that disappointing loss to pick up a much-needed victory over McCreary Central on Saturday evening.

The Lady Maroons took control of this one from the outset, holding the Lady Raiders to only two points in the first quarter, while racing out to a very comfortable margin — 30-13 by the intermission.

McCreary Central tried to claw its way back, outscoring Pulaski County 19-10 in the fourth quarter, but thanks to PC building up a 20-point lead through three quarters of play at 47-27, the Lady Raiders simply had too big of a hill to climb.

Haylee Ridner led Pulaski County in the win with 13 points, while Heidi Thompson chipped in with 12 points.

Pulaski County — 15-11 on the season — will return to action on Monday night at The PC Gym at 7:30 p.m., hosting the Russell County Lady Lakers.
