The Pulaski County Lady Maroons picked up a much-needed district win on the road on Thursday night at The Briar Patch, knocking off the homestanding Lady Jumpers by a final score of 48-42.
Pulaski County got off to a good start in this one, leading Somerset 28-20 at the half, and held on down the stretch to pick up a key district win.
Heidi Thompson led Pulaski County in the win with 15 points, while her teammate Caroline Oakes added 12 points.

Somerset meanwhile was paced by Taya Mills and Lauren Foutch who each tallied 15 points for the Lady Jumpers.
Pulaski County — 14-10 on the season with the win — will return to action tonight at Southwestern, to face the Lady Warriors at The Wigwam at 6 p.m.
Somerset meanwhile — fell to 12-14 with the loss to PC — will get back on the hardwood at The Briar Patch on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m., as Casey Rexroat’s club will take on Hazard.
