The Somerset Lady Jumpers are now one win away from going to the All A Classic State Girl’s Basketball Tournament.
Last night at Burgin High School, Casey Rexroat’s club took down the homestanding Bulldogs in a blowout,
Freshman Taya Mills led a balanced scoring attack for Somerset with 12 points, as the Lady Jumpers rolled to an emphatic, 54-13 beatdown win over Burgin.

Somerset took control of things from the outset in this one, leading the Bulldogs by a whopping, 43-8 margin at the half.
Madison Garland added nine points in the win for Somerset, as the Lady Jumpers had nine players hit the scoring column in the blowout victory.
Somerset — now 8-10 on the season — advanced with the win to tonight’s championship game of the Girl’s 12th Region All A Tournament.
Tonight, Somerset will square off with Danville in the title game from Burgin High School, with the winner moving on to next week’s All A Classic State Tournament in Richmond.
Tonight’s game will be a girl/boy doubleheader between Somerset and Danville, with the action tipping off in the girl’s contest from Burgin High School beginning at 6 p.m.
