Fresh off of a championship in the Arby’s Classic earlier in the week, the Pulaski County Lady Maroon basketball team took their act out of state, but the results continued to be the same.
Simply, Chris Adkins and crew are rolling this season.
Playing on Friday in Daytona Beach, Florida in the opening round of the Sunshine Classic, Adkins and company improved to 9-2 on the year by blowing Hialeah High School out of the gymnasium, coming away with a 64-23 beatdown win.
PC put this one away early, leading the Florida team by a whopping, 34-11 margin at the break, never looking back.
Caroline Oakes paced a balanced Lady Maroon scoring attack — one that saw Pulaski County put 10 players into the scoring column.
Oakes led the way for the Lady Maroons with 13 points, while Haylee Ridner chipped in with 12 points, and Heidi Thompson added 10.
Pulaski County continues play in the Sunshine Classic through the weekend.
