All the Southwestern Warriors have done throughout the early part of this basketball season has won, and won, and won some more.
And on Monday night, Chris Baker’s club was at it again.
Southwestern went on the road at Rockcastle County, and the Warriors threw a balanced scoring attack at the Rockets to improve to 6-0 on the season.
In all, 10 players from Southwestern hit the scoring column, led by Cole Dysinger’s game-high 27 points.
Hunter Coffey joined Dysinger in double figures with 10 points, helping the Warriors cruise to a perfect, 6-0 record with a 76-59 victory over The Rock.
Rockcastle County stayed close to Southwestern early on; in fact leading the Warriors after the first period by a score of 19-18.
Southwestern came back to lead at the half by a half dozen points at 35-29, but put the game away with a 21-9 third period to lead Rockcastle by a comfortable, 56-38 margin headed into the fourth quarter of play.
The Warriors — 6-0 on the season — will put that perfect record on the line on Friday night in the opening round of the M & W Classic at The Wigwam.
Southwestern will tangle with Harvest Prep out of Ohio in that contest, with game time set for 7:30 p.m.
