Warriors stay unbeaten with blowout over Thomas Nelson


One night after an overtime win at district rival Wayne County, the Southwestern Warriors returned to action on Saturday and Chris Baker’s club remained undefeated, and made a big-time statement in the process.

The Warriors exploded for a huge, 82-43 win, running their record to 5-0 on the season.

Southwestern put this issue to rest early, racing out to a 31-point lead at halftime, leading this one 48-17.

The Warriors enjoyed a balanced scoring attack in the win, led by Brayden Sims with 16 points.

Andrew Smith and Cole Dysinger each added 11 points in the win, while Jon Wood chipped in with 10 points.

The Warriors will put their perfect record on the line on Monday night with a trip to Rockcastle County to take on the Rockets.

Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
