Lady Maroons remain unbeaten, crush West Jessamine 71-23


The Pulaski County Lady Maroons have been on a roll out of the gate at the start of the 2019-’20 high school basketball season.

Chris Adkins’ club made it a perfect 3-3 on Saturday afternoon, capping off the first week of the regular season with an emphatic, 71-23 beatdown win over the West Jessamine Colts at the PC Gym as part of the North/South Shootout Classic on Saturday afternoon.

Pulaski County put this one away early, racing out to a huge, 42-11 lead by the intermission.

Maddy Dunn led the way for the Lady Maroons with 16 points, while Heidi Thompson and Hailee Ridner each added 8 points for PC.

The Lady Maroons — 3-0 on the young season — will get back at it on Tuesday night, hosting the Lady Lions from Garrard County at 7:30 p.m.
