The Southwestern Warriors tipped off the 2019-’20 high school basketball season in big-time fashion on Tuesday night, rolling to an impressive 94-71 win over the visiting Central Kentucky Home School team.
Southwestern all but put this one away in the second quarter, outscoring the visitors from Lexington 27-9 in the frame, to take a 49-24 lead into the intermission.
Cole Dysinger led the Warriors with a game-high 29 points, while Brayden Sims chipped in with 18 points, and Hunter Coffey, Jon Wood, and Andrew Jones all hit for double figures with 10 points each.

Dysinger — on his way to a 29-point night — led the Warriors with six made three-point baskets, while the Warriors as a team were impressive from the charity stripe, hitting on 11-12 free throw attempts.
Southwestern will return to action on Thursday night at The Wigwam hosting the Casey County Rebels at 7:30 p.m.
