The Somerset Briar Jumpers moved to 4-0 on the season last Friday night, and Robbie Lucas’ club did it in impressive fashion.

Going on the road to play a 4-0 Williamsburg team, Somerset put together an impressive second half, scoring 27 unanswered points after the intermission, helping the Briar Jumpers roll to a 41-14 win over the Yellowjackets.

Quarterback Kaiya Sheron had another big game for Somerset, completing 17-22 passes for 300 yards and two touchdowns.

Alex Miller had a huge game as well on the ground for Somerset, as the senior tailback carried the football 26 times for 142 yards and three touchdowns.

Kade Grundy led the Jumpers in receiving in the win over the Yellowjackets, hauling in six catches for 150 yards and two touchdowns.

Somerset — 4-0 on the season with the win — will return home this Friday night at Clark Field, as the Briar Jumpers will host the winless Russelville Panthers.

Kickoff for that game is set for 7:30 p.m.
